Linking Tanks To Create Bigger?

Hello everyone!

I have found myself in a situation with 3 possibly 4 spare tanks, all 10 gallons or under. I have seen people online making these "viewing columns" filled with water for their fish, and wondered if you could do the same thing to connect multiple tanks together? I haven't really thought realistically about it yet (the setup would look atrocious as all the tanks are totally different style) but I wonder if you guys think it's possible? It seems like a cool idea, and you could theme all the decor for each tank differently maybe?

Just an idea!

This is something I saw recently that I'm pretty interested in! I need to find out more about this as well.

No room to try until I move out but that gives me time to research!

I read an article about building water bridges out of clear PVC pipe too. Sounds like assembly would be easier than glass but clear PVC fittings look pretty expensive. If you want to save money and don't care too much about looks you could use a straight piece of clear PVC pipe and ordinary white fittings (or make it all out of white PVC but then you have no visibility).
