anyone have any luck with lillys for freshwater tanks I bought mine at petco and no white fuzz or mold. I was told to take them out and toss them if I saw any of that on them. So I think that's good also I heard that these bulbs grow faster with warmer temps. Is that true any advice would be good they are also bured 3/4 of the way in the gravel. they have also been in the tank for about 4-5 days now thanks.

I didn't bury them till I saw something growing. That way it helped me determine which way was up. I bought a pack from there also, It came with two onions, some oblong, hairy bulbs, and a massive (compaired to the others) bulb. All have started growing. What does the bulb look like?

If it is the big one you r talking about, it took it like a week and it began to grow. It's been only three days and it about an 2" tall. So it's coming along. You might want to unbury them till they start, you may have to smell and feel them once in a while. If it stinks, get rid of it. If it's soft get rid of it. other that that, it should start shortly.

Mine where planted in the gravel according to the directions( 3/4 inch in the gravel) they sprouted within a couple weeks, just give it more time. If they have not sprouted within 30days, then they probibly where duds.
