Chihiros a series should be available in Canada, 7 dimmable settings so can get the light you want. For a 20l get the a601, as well as the stainless steel stand (need to purchase separately, about $5). 601 will be a tad short, but the spread covers well
Micmol aqua Air (also dimmable) more expensive, but still relative cheap in comparison to equal lights. Also SHOULD (have to check) be available in Canada
Hope this helps

and I see the chihiros a601 for about 75 cad on ebay

I assume I would pick the 5 color right and this is what you were talking about

Single color, 5 color is the marine version

Not sure of the conversion from USD to CAD, but price should be in 45-65USD range. Two us based sellers and one Canadian seller, don’t have to have shipped from China

Single color, 5 color is the marine version
but if the single color is not the RGB then is it not good for plants?

They have a separate rgb model, more expensive. I would go with the micmol over the rgb personally.
I can not stress enough that the 5 color is the marine version, not the rgb version, very heavy blue, will make your tank appear purplish, not enjoyable to look at, nor great for plants

Realize that “white” is a combination of all colors, don’t need to have reds, etc plain white is fine.

Color temp is 8000k, on the cool side...

I have over 30 tanks with chihiros on about half of them, from low tech to high tech, the while alone does just fine

Not sure how Canadian post is, but I’ve ordered from a guy (girl) in California and one in NY, both made it to me within a few days. Times I’ve ordered from overseas is a shoot... have gotten some in about a week, others have taken as long as 3weeks.

For a Med light tank on a 20l you wil, want to keep it on the 4th setting. Any more will be too high without co2.
With co2 I’ve grown dbt, rotala ‘sunset’, ramisoir ‘florida’, you name it. even on my high techs I find I don’t have to go above the 6th setting often

I would just search on eBay by distance... if they are selling it should, pop up towards the top.
Don’t forget to get the stand as well.

Amazon also sells chihiros, but at a higher price. The a plus comes with the stand, but also costs double and is more then you need for a 20l

Loving my fluval 3.0 !
Like the 24/7 but better as you can set every feature and it offers more colors.
Easy to use phone app has all 3 of mine synced on timing and running the exact same color setting...

It’s a great light really
I keep most of my low techs at the 4th setting, after a few months I often bump it to the 5th.
For tanks w co2 I use 5-7 (varies based on the tank, usually 6th is fine for carpets and other light fussy plants, dbt likes the 7th though
