Lighting For Plants?

hi! I’m a newbie with a 25 gallon tank. The light is 24 w. It came as a kit from foster and smith. The tank is 30l x 15w x 19h. I have an LED that has day and night mode. I have black sand, and want a moderate to heavy planted tank. I don’t want them to be high tech. I want low tech. I am fine with moderate maintenance. I will have danios, gourami, snails, and kuhlis. I was wondering what I can grow in there?
So far... Anubis
Java fern
Java moss
Crypt
I have one that looks like it is made with Christmas tree needles.
I would like a CARPET PLANT and some MOSS to put on my tall treelike driftwood. Also, am I low or medium low or medium light?
Thanks!

Edit: I have root tabs too.

You may be neither... just because it is led lighting doesn’t make it plant specific. Do you have a link to the specific light?

Not many plants carpet well in low tech environments, especially without plant specific substrate. You can add root tabs and try dwarf sag, staurogene repens, and hydrocotyle triparta Japan for carpeting (don’t go down the baby tears/Hair Grass road)

Other suitable plants would be other types of mosses - person favs are fissidens, and consider using weeping or xmas moss for the trees as its a lot more tidier than java moss IMO) as well as bucephalandra. Many have also had success with swords - reccomend looking into 'tropica' (dwarf sword basically) and vall. Bolbitis also is a good choice!

For java fern I'd reccomend windolov and needleleaf (or trident) due to small leaf 'width' helps make the tank look larger... micro java fern works as well! (I tend to steer clear of normal java fern due to how wide the plants leaves get.... it makes the tank lool really small!

Dwarf sag is also meant to do well!

Crypt parva also seems to be successful as well!

OP, most kit lights aren't very strong for PAR, so I wouldn't be surprised if its low light.

Edit: wow! bucephalandra is stunning! I like dwarf sag too.

A lot of carpeting planets require c02 to properly carpet, I tried it with high lighting and it didnt go too well
