Lighting for a Ten Gallon Platy Tank

The light bulbs that came with my 10 gallon kit give off a yellow lighting. Would a brighter white lighting change the appearance much? Or is the yellow lighting better?

 

Doesn't really matter what kind of lights you have except if you have live plants. Do you?

 

No I dont. Just wondering if it would look better.

Just personal preference. I don't like the yellow color either so I always use white lighting. I got rid of all the bulbs I've come across that gave off a yellow color. I'm not even so sure if they're the best for plants- I've always used full spectrum white lighting on my plants.
