Lighting for 10 gallon tank

Hi all!

I wanted to turn my ten gallon into a plant nursery for my future projects. I have a glass lid for it. I was wondering if I take one of those clip on light and use that if it would be sufficient if I got a full spectrum 100watt led grow light? They run an actual wattage of 30watt. So that's 3 watts per gallon of actual wattage. I'm thinking it should be ok since I'm running 33watts of led for my community tank and my AR rosefolia is living. I was hoping I could run a high light tank to grow or repair plants in my 37 gallon and swap out weak plants for healthy plants if I need. I've been reading opposing views of led lights. Some say you need the equivalent of 3-5 watts per gallon led and others say if you do that with leds you'll burn plants if you equal the watts per gallon with LEDs.

I'm not sure about that light specifically, but I use this light with great success: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0785QPXHR/ref=twister_B08C7TR35K?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Yeah I have one on my 5g and one of the 29g. It's really nice if you can get one. Plus, they are cheap compared to other options.

The bulb I'm talking about is for growing plants. I dont want to buy stuff if I have it. I was gifted the led bulb and those clamp lights are so cheap, like 12$ that's why I was asking if a 30 actual watt of power grow bulb strong enough. These bulbs cost 17$ and are equal to 100 or more watts incandescent value.
That's a nice light

Half my planted tanks I use ones just like that just no timer. Amazing results. Paid $22 each.

Ps there are more factors like Kelvin rating why you dint want to use clip on type
The led lights have correct Kelvin for plants a shop lights doesnt

It's a grow light for cannabis just lower wattage. It's full spectrum. Does Kelvin really matter at that point? I mean I'm sure it does, but I'm talking about a full spectrum led. Those grow light put out different wavelengths and Kelvin since these so many different leds on it. I'm talking about an led grow bulb that is full spectrum with 150 leds on it. If if can grow plants on land it should in an aquarium. Or maybe my understanding is off? I'm assuming that any full spectrum bulb will work better than any Kelvin rated bulb of equal wattage output.

Miss understanding I thought u ment shop clip on that is for work bench.

You are correct grow plant on land grow in water. But now understand most plants we grow under water dont flower so lean toward the blues n whites with hints of reds as reds are more for flower if getting into kelvin.

But that light should work great!

Lengh Footprint may be lacking with width gaining. 2 of those on top would be amazing
