I saw some gourami at a nearby LFS labelled as "Trichogaster trichopterus diamond". Here's a photo I took of the tank in the store:
"Trichogaster trichopterus" is apparently a three-spotted gourami, but I can't find any morphs of them that look like the ones online. Looking online, I can find only one source referring to "Trichogaster trichopterus diamond", and the photo on that page looks a lot like what I saw in the store.
I'm fairly confident the store (and the above website) has mislabelled them. This is the second time a nearby LFS has mislabelled their gourami - in another thread, I posted a photo of what the store had labelled as red honey gourami, but another member of this forum identified them as thick-lipped gourami. The fish in the photo above look much more like pearl gourami to me; however, every photo of pearl gourami I can find online have some red on them, whereas these don't. Are these three-spotted gourami, pearl gourami, or some other species?
