They're beautiful aren't they?

There's an awesome fish store a little over an hour from me.
When I go there I drool over the Saltwater tanks. LOL

Beautiful! I always wondered how they caught fish like that when you buy them. And how would you take it home? It's not like the LFS could just bag it up, right?

Ditto, I don't have a desire to keep anything that can hurt me. Even if it was an accident.

My LFS got one of those too and it was snapped up quickly. They are cool, but yeah I like to be able to stick my hands in the tank without worrying about rushing off to the ER lol

I have had a few of them in the past years they are not as bad as people make them out to be, If they feel threatened then they may jab you I have been jabbed before in the back of my hand and my hand swelled up for a few days and luckly I had no reactions I was cleaning the tanks at the Sharks club and was not paying attention and I accidently hit the fish with my hand the fish did not jab me I jabbed the fish. Lol I was watching the sharks and not the lion, By the way I took care of 3 150 gallon tanks with a nurse shark a blue dot sting ray they had leopard and banded sharks way to cool I loved petting them all, so I bought 12 leopards and a ray for my home tank which was the same size. Man I miss the old days........

Stangman, wow, impressive. The other day I saw the bag the lion was in, it was linned w/ newspaper. I was curious as to what it could be. Never expected that. Only $200. Someone must of ordered him, they don't usually carry exotic fish unless it's an order.

Huge! At least 10" or more long x about 6" or so wide. This is the only exotic animal store in a 2 state range.

I love Lionfish! The Fu Manchu is my favorite. Maybe someday I might try one with my sharks....as long as they don't eat my coral that's going in.

Lol, I wouldn't be worried about it stabbing me, more like what happened to Dougie; just slipping up and having to pay the price. And I'd say having a swollen hand for a few days isn't a small thing, that'd be a right pain in the "hand"!

What store is it psalm? Must be pretty incredible to keep a fish like that alive, no box stores could do that. There is one a few hours away from me, Blue Sierra Exotics and it also it has high quality salt water fish for sale. I love going there, I have really beautiful angels (freshwater) that I got there.

They won't eat the corals, however the sharks will damage corals by bumping into them and breaking or knocking them off.

Haha, that's why I'm only getting polyps, mushroom, open brain, Duncan and red gracilaria. My sharks almost never bother the rocks they pretty much stay in front of the overflows and the rocks are between the overflows.

I'd be more worried about the Lionfish eating the blennies then the coral honestly.

Zoo Creatures in Plaistow, NH. Not a box store. The sell exotic animals. A weekend visit includes a tour of lizards, snakes, birds, and fish. They even have a tour of wild animals including aligators. During the summer peacocks roam the area. Great store and decent fish prices.

How would you keep a pet alligator? I mean, 30 years ago a friend of mine was a child in the south, and they had a pit out back where they kept to large nasty alligators, but I can't imagine that's what you're supposed to do. But how do you keep a 10' predator happy?!

If a lion fish blows your mind, take a look at this. The store I work for sells only Saltwater fish, nothing else. We got a brown spotted jellyfish in about 3 weeks ago. Not for a special order, just because we could. We've also had Japanese Dragon eels, Achilles tangs, and black onyx and snowflake clownfish.
