I just fed my cichlids some lettuce and they didnt seen to eat ti all but no my catfish isnt doing anything its just making small movements on some drift wood. Was it not supposed to eat the lettus or is it just a coincidence? It seems to be moving a little more now.

takes time for them to get use to it if you havent ever fed it to them...your catfish is an omnivore so he may not take to lettuce as they prefer meaty foods....

heres a link for proof LOL

Good morning. I agree with Shawnie that it may take a time or two for your fish to realize that lettuce is food. I feed romaine lettuce to my Silver Dollars and it took several tries. Now they devour an entire leaf in less than 1 hour. :) Love it!

I give my tanks cucumber and all of the fish love it. It took about 2-3 trys before they realized it was food so keep trying.

    Shawnie, I love your fish............
