Lets see your Christmas decor

Admittedly it is early but since England is in another national lockdown and everyone is miserable, I decided that christmas starts early this year.

2020 has been pretty terrible so I thought sharing our Christmas stuff would cheer everybody up. I know I love to see decorations so let's see all your Christmas related stuff!

My 2 year old decorated the tree and according to her I'm not allowed to fine tune it so this is what I've got this year lol

We put our lights up a week BEFORE Thanksgiving this year. As you say, the lockdowns have been a real drag and this really helped lift our spirits.

Apparently, the employees of the client company like the lights. First thing they see when they get to work, last thing they see when leaving. Guess that is spreading Christmas cheer!

 

SIDENOTE: I don't actually care weather or not anyone tells me I can or can't, I'm going to celebrate anyway

Definately! The pagan type festival "Yule" came before Christianity brought actual Christmas into the main...way of things? Dunno how to say that right lol
I dont mean it in a rude way or anything bc its just the truth but Christianity used a lot of Pagan festivals to put their own festivals on top. Probably because paganism was like Christianity is now (in terms of popularity not belief) and it was easier to bring the masses over to Christianity by not confusing people.
I just think thats a kind...not really cool i guess but an interesting thing! Like i said i dont want people to be mad at me for some reason i dont mean to be offensive ;-;

I guess my point is; celebrate the time how you want to. Follow it as you see fit. Christmas is mostly commercial now for a looooad of people so...if you wanna just buy gifts and have trees thats awesome, but for me its cool to know the ideas behind it all :3

 

Well, when i was originally going to post this picture, the cats broke our christmas tree. Guess i don't have to worry about setting one up for a few years now.

But anyway, the kids make sure i know how many days to Christmas!

We used to have cats and they would scurry all the way up the tree after some ornament or whatever and knock it down. We had to tie the top of it to a hook screwed into the ceiling. Haha.

I have 4, my 2 oldest are married and 1 has 4 boys, stockings on the left are there's the others are there spouses and boyfriends,
My youngest (shannon) just started dating a very nice guy back 4 months ago and we are waiting for his stocking to be delivered this week.

Best part is, they all get filled. (except mine I'm always bad)

My mom always does stocking for all of us at Christmas. The youngest, that is maybe her absolute favorite part of Christmas i think! Its always little stuff like a bath bomb or chapstick, tons of candy n snacks, whatever, all wrapped....and she is a little hoarder, so of course she likes it!

how old are they all? also I'm glad you're being friendly towards the people they're dating when they're old enough (as long as they're nice). overprotective parents are the worst, and I guess you're doing a good job not being overprotective. my parents are also pretty chill unless I do something that is the stupid.

I have a 38 year old then 33 then 28 then 27. My grandkid's are 13, 12, 10 and 9.

 

My tree Dunk2 . Its going in the living room right around the corner....lol
The stars on the lights have been my favorite deco on the tree since I was a kid. They are just plastic stars that slide on a light bulb....LOVE them. I like icicles a lot also. I have glass and plastic ones. This tree is light on the icicles this year....

Put them back into the box or tree storage tote and shove it in an attic, basement, closet etc lol for my big 6 ft tree, the box is surprisingly thin

They fold down into a fairly small rectangular box

 

There's a ton of outside stuff and a nice tree inside, but this is the fun stuff. With 2 little grand girls, the fish had to have a tree and stockings. One stocking for each species (Danios and Panda Corys). Merry Christmas from Boss, Copy, Tiny, Mini, Silver and Teeny Danio, and their tankmates, Twinkle, Power, Point, One, Two, and Three Cory.
