I don't know that this is the best picture I've ever taken, but it's my favorite. This is Comet Hyakutake, taken in April 1996 on a hill in upstate NY with a 35 MM camera using a 200 MM lens... and NO TELESCOPE! I laid very still, aimed the camera and shot an entire 36 roll of film. This is the only one that came out.
Oh, and the 2 black lines in the picture are telephone and power lines running to our house.... opps.
That is a weird looking dolphin. lol I know it is really 3 dolphins. Great pics every one. Here's a couple of our nicer pics.
No macro. Honestly, I don't know what kind of lens is on that camera (it's my family's camera). It's some sort of Sony DSLR, but I never researched it very much, it not being my camera. Getting close-up pictures without a macro is hard when you have to deal with your camera auto-focusing too far away, but once you can get the autofocus under control, a wide-angle can get up pretty close.
I'm going camera shopping this weekend though! Stoked about it.
My best shot... kinda small but you get the idea. Brianna
Its actually at a brook near my house, it was raining, and it was the only picture I took, it came out good. Great pictures everyone! BriannaMy best shot... kinda small but you get the idea. Brianna
That's a great picture, Brianna. Where is it?
Which hurricane was that? I was there for Andrew (I always attract freak weather).

Lol. I love skiing.lol in the last one I'm the one doing the spread eagle haha
I love ants too. They're very intersting with all of their ant wars. The contrast between the lovey dovey feel of the candy and the ants is great. I LOVE ants. As you also studied a lot of biology, am sure you share that!

we're in the 'sweet spot' here in st.auggie.. we only had things up to cat.1 during the 2004 season and haven't taken a direct hit since people rode their horses to work.. the atlantic currents tend to steer hurricanes away from us.

yea, the main excitement for us is watching the new residents panic and buy all the canned food, batteries and bottled water every hurricane.
