Thought it would be fun to see everyone's close ups of their fish and plants. I enjoy taking obnoxiously close up photos of my inhabitants. It's like a glimpse into their world.
Here are some of mine to get things started:

I love your corys! I wish mine would swim about in a happy little school like they are suppose to. I have 8 Sterbai that never swim together and really only come out when the lights are off. My parameters are good and 8 should be enough to make them comfy. I think my lights are just too high for them.
I also love your Nerite, I need to get some!

sadly the cory pic was a kind of old one and they were sick when i got them ( petsmart ) and didnt really know what to do and lost 2 and returned the other 3 but now have 6 very happy and plump pepper corys that all band together most of the time....Yes you should get a Nerite or 2 they are great little snails and amazing cleaners!!

That's never fun. When I got my yellow shrimp I had received 20 of them. I put 10 in my 75 gallon and 10 in my 10 gallon in case the ones in the 75 got eaten. The ones in the 75 did get eaten but the 10 gallon was going great with tons of babies. Sadly one day there was some sort of fluke with my tap water and doing a water change caused the tank to get very cloudy, so I kept doing water changes each day hoping it had gotten better and it just kept getting worse. Magically, a week later or so, my tap was running perfectly clear again, but all of the shrimp in the 10 had passed in that time frame.
Thankfully my 75s inhabitants fared better, probably due to the extra water volume.
Though I did lose my stiphodon gobies.

Rope fish!!! I am obsessed with them!
When I can have more tanks (apartment life), I want a tank with them. And one with lesser siren... guess I like eel like creatures, they remind me of dragons in a way.
I love the pic of your GBR mean mugging your shrimp. You can almost make out the yellow shrimp that my pearl gourami is eyeballing in one of mine.

Thank you. I call him Sobek after the Egyptian crocodile god. Figured it was a cool name for a cool fish.
The shrimp mugging the ram in that one. I think that's "big momma" and she coulden't give a rip about the ram. That was HER shrimp pellet.

Is that the world's smallest head of lettuce or the world's largest snail?

I love closeups, they're so clean and detailed. I even made a small video of one of my amano shrimps doing some cleanup, using a cheap iPhone macro lens.

Ottos are great for closeups, their skin looks smooth until you zoom in.
The shrimp video, I could watch all day.
I certainly think that closeups really bring out more of the personality in our inhabitants, the personalities that we all know they have and the non-fish obssesed never understand.

Thank you! It's a third party seller called Olloclip. They actually have some really amazing stuff, but I bought one of the cheapest kits on amazon. Came with 3 lenses, but the macro is what I bought it for. It's very decent for it's price, it was $16. And I agree about the music, I'm glad I found it!
