    Really? Did you never heard about this species? Neolamprogus leleupi o Lemon cichlid?? is a beautiful fish from the lake tanganika.

    I've been keeping these fish for a long time now. The fighting is just territorial squabbling. They won't cause each other any damage & will in fact even do it with other species in the same tank. The funny thing about them is thier territories will keep changing. They seem to like to claim thier spot in the tank & as soon as they have defended it successfull, move on to a new spot to defend. It seems to depend on wether they are in the mood to claim a patch for themselves or not. I've had 6 of them in with my Cuckoos & Frontosas for about 6 years now as well as some in my other more mixed rift lake tank. Great fish.
