So me and my family are leaving for vacation for four days I have a few tanks what to do I have gotten two new fish One male beta I’ve been having him for about only about a month One is super knew it is one harlequin razz bora
Let me just say it is sick it won’t eat it’s been four days my family aren’t willing to take me back to the pet store so what do I do all my other fish are fine how would I be able to feed them before I go because it’s gonna be four whole days to be honest maybe even more so I don’t know what to do

my family won’t hire a pet sitter and the automatic feeding cube things I don’t want them feeding my fish too much because some of them have bloat problems so what do I do

I don't know what to tell you about the sick fish, but your fish will be fine not eating for 4 days.

I have left my tanks for ten nights without any food no problem. I would not do it with tiny newly hatched fry that require small feeds up to 4 times a day but juveniles will be fine.

Do not add extra food before you walk out. Do not add anything they will be fine for 4 days.

Usually fish are okay if you don't feed them for four days. I have left my betta for up to a week on vacations and he was fine. For your rasbora, maybe you can have a friend try to feed him/her.

For the sick fish put it in a seperate tank and medicate it. 4 days should be fine but I would suggest longer than a week get an automatic feeder and NEVER us the vacation feeder wafers they pollute the water and can kill your fish

I know that one time one of my parents brought one home and said here I did not use it because it literally said on the back take out carbon or can cause damage

I've been on holiday a couple of weeks and my fish were fine when I got back.

During the last few decades of my hobby I have always measured out food for each day so my neighbour would not under or over feed.

No one’s gonna be feeding them though

They'll be absolutely fine. I leave all my fish for 10-14 days 3 or 4 times a year. Ive never come home to fish that starved to death. 4 days without food is nothing.
