I am going to be out of town for 5 days. My tank is currently still being cycled (pure ammonia fishless cycle). My tank is currently at the point where 4 ppm of Ammonia is being converted to nitirite in 24 hours. If i dose up to 4 ppm the day I leave, will the bacteria be okay or will it die off? I was thinking I could add some fish food the day I leave since it would slowly release ammonia. Any thoughts?

    Welcome to the forum

I would just leave things be. In fact, you may come home to find the tank has finished the cycle in your absence.
