Hi all, when Jason and I first set up our aquarium, you all were a huge help. Thank you!

Long story short, the overall consensus was the largest school most appropriate for our tank was Red Eyed Tetras, RET's. A couple of times a lemon tetra would get thrown in by accident when we'd go to the store to get red eye's.

Well someone said they'd be fine and someone said get more lemon tetras so he has his own species to be with. It's so true. Twice, the single lemon in a school of RET's eventually died. Once we bought several lemons, they hang out together separately from the RET's and sometimes all together.

It's a great group to have together but having more than one lemon to be part of his own species was definitely the key for a peaceful community in our aquarium.

Thank you!

That's great to hear. It makes them so much more secure and pleasurable to watch.
