Leaking Tank - Aqueon Kit

I came downstairs and found half of the water missing and a dripping sound near my 36 gallon tank. Moving the fish and the filter and heater to a 20 gallon container. It’s leaking pretty slowly (1 drop per second). Does anyone know if petsmart replaces aqueon kit tanks after 4 months if I got it on a sale or do they refund?

I am going to guess no...not after 4 months.

But it is worth a phone call. Do you still have the receipt?

I don’t have the receipt. I’m going to call them. If they refund I could buy a 60 gallon tank with the same amount of money.
Edit: I called petsmart and they told me to email aqueon. Aqueon said they will respond in 1-2 days.

Without a receipt I don't think you have a chance honestly. How can you even prove that you bought it there and not somewhere else? And if it took 4 months to start leaking, it would be assumed it was something that happened long after purchase.

I would be very surprised if they do. But call and see though!

I think they can find the purchase at petsmart and print the receipt again.

CALL THEM ASAP! ive returned tons of stuff without receipt, if they give you a hard time contact costumer service and give them a hard time! If you bought that tank 4 months ago and its a brand new tank, it shouldnt be leaking so that's their fault. Of course that's only if you didnt hit the tank or anything which I'm sure u didnt

That’s what I was gonna suggest. I’ve contacted aqueon a couple times in the past and my experience with their customer service has been nothing but professional. Or do like gaunchy said and harass the bleep out of them that is usually an instant fix too... good luck!

They told me to contact customer service so I will probably do that soon (I am kind of busy now though).
I don’t see a crack in the tank. Maybe the silicone is leaking.

Call aqueon or email them?

The leaking isn’t too bad so I am leaving the fish in the tank for now.

I already emailed them. It takes 1-2 business days to respond and today is Friday.

I moved them all to a 29 gallon tank with nothing in it. Will the corydoras and bolivian rams be fine without sand?

Found 13 platy fry swimming around and caught them... I already have 30. Anything else I should do?

Waiting for petsmart to email me the receipt so I can send it to aqueon... I might just keep the swordtails, platies, and corydoras in this tank and move everything else to a 60 gallon tank.

Good news! Aqueon is going to refund because they didn’t want to pay the shipping so I can buy a 60 gallon tank and still have money left over. I just need to find somewhere to put it. I will be using the old 36 gallon tank for a dwarf hamster.

Also I found the original receipt. It was in someone's closet?? I should be able to go buy the tank today or this weekend.
