Leaf litter without tannins?

I like the look of leaf litter but don't want the dark colored water. Are there any leaves that don't tan the water?

You can probably minimize the tannins if you boil them for a while before adding and if you do frequent water changes. The darkness of the water is also dependent on how many leaves you put in and how large the tank is.

Thanks for answering my question. Seems like everybody but me likes tinted water.

I like it in lakes and rivers but not so much in my aquarium. It's getting to be heavily planted so it's already shady in spots.
