Lazy Or Sick Beta?

Details:
8 gallon, planted, heated, filtered, rimless corner tank. Have had for over two years. Gravel bottom.
Last readings from today:
Ph 8.2
Amm .25
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 10

I have a 1yr old Betta he was fine until about a week ago he started acting really lazy and just flopping against a decoration and not moving. I tried changing up the environment with new decor and toys plus a food variation but no change. No sign of any typical diseases. Odd thing is, he pushes his face against the gravel or decor then his whole body just flops over in this bend and he stays like that for hours.
Eating normally. No other changes that I can recall.

Have had a problem with hair algae recently but I dealt with that by just removing it manually during the last water change.

Any ideas? Sick? Bored? Old?

Honestly keep expecting him to just be dead but he’s not

Can you try to get more pictures of him from different angles and not in the gravel?

My Betta, Monty has been doing the exact same thing of late. He’s been recently dealing with severe fin rot and a bacterial infection. I’ve treated him with kanaplex and that’s helped some but he’s doing the same behaviors as yours. Staying at the bottom, sometimes face down into the gravel and at times, in a curled position. Not sure what to do for him now. Will be following to see what the comments are. Good luck with your Betta!

Hey Guys I am new to this forum. My betta has been acting lazy and may have fin rot but how does one know he has fin rot?
