This breeding pair will lay eggs, then hibernate for a week or two then will lay eggs again....she will lay on the sand for weeks but will eat and swim around occasionally...its scary at first but I gave up trying to figure her out. She eats and everything. Anyone else have lazy fish????

I have a Blood Parrot as well, but he's not lazy. He's quite active and swims around the tank quite frequently. He just gets into his terra-cotta pot when he gets scared.

What tank do you have you BP in?
Mine is in a 100 gallon with a group of YoYo loaches, a Sev, a FM, Silver Dollars and I'm planning to get some BN Plecos as well.

I have 10 glolight tetras they stay in a little clump in one of the clearings. I swear you could put them in a 1 gallon bowl and they wouldn't care. Lol

8 emerald green cories
And a common pleco
All in a 75 gallon
The bettas are pretty lazy as well sometimes I think they are part of the plants. Lol

Two different people responded. I don't have any BPs but I have other cichlids, my albino angels are rather lazy compared to the other ones I have but they will get back in another angels face when needed.
