Lazada - Legit business or "fish blood" money ?

This website is kinda of a amazon here, in asia, it offer also possibility for anyone to setup a shop and start selling things.

While method like lalamove to order fish online is perfectly viable (same day delivery services)
people who order living fish on lazada will receive it between 2 to 7 days, the fish is packed at the very beginning.

Unless I'm mistaken, a fish should not stay more than 6 hours inside a small plastic ? A lot of review even complain that the fish was dead at the delivery, I'm guessing the death was slow (till he can't breeze)

It is something you can do in US too or some organisation protecting animal will put a stop to it ?

I'm thinking stopping ordering stuff on lazada for being complice of this

Fish can be in a plastic bag for extended periods (days) depending on how they are packed. It is important to keep the fish from getting too hot or cold (heat pack or ice pack added depending on the weather), insulated to help maintain temp and minimize jostling inside the box, bagged in a manner that prevents leakage, and provided enough oxygen via inflating the bag with O2 or using breather bags. Of course, quicker shipping minimizes the chance of one of these factors going wrong and reduces stress, thus reducing the chance of DOA.

I learn something new every day, i cant say it for sure that from the seller to the customer the route is made to handle stuff not living thing (depends on the traject, multiple stop on different depot, different guy will handle the packages + weather here is tropical climat...) maybe i worried for nothing...

Glad to help! It seems like in the case you describe, it comes down to how the seller packages the fish. Reviews for an individual seller should give you a good indicator of how well they pack and how they handle DOAs (ie. Refunds? Replacement fish?). Just keep in mind that weather can play a big role in survival. A fish shipped during a heat spike is less likely to arrive in good condition as one shipped in more moderate weather. Many shipping places will not keep the package in AC. In some cases, sellers will wait to ship fish if temperatures will be above or below certain limits during the shipping process.

Ah but consider how the fish got to the store in the first place. Fish are shipped from all over the world to get to your aquarium. Pretty cool process. There’s a lot of “fish unboxing” videos on YouTube. It’s easy to lose track of time watching those... oddly addictive

I've ordered shrimp and various fish from lazada before, look at the ratings of the shop. Some seem dodgier than others

I can confirm that lazada is doing zero control and most of the live fish seller are making them suffer

You can browse them trought lazada app. I made 1 order of 4 fish to check : 3 dead, the survivor did not make 10 hours in the tank before dying too (and i got fungus invasion)

I repored this to the lazada support : They dont give a ****, their only concern was if i wanted a refund

Seller are doing 1 / 2 fake review on their product, when they get a bad one, they delete the product and make the same again allowing them to be constantly at 90 above satisfaction rate
