Ladies Night!

I'm trying to come up with programming for work (an ultra lounge in a casino). We have had "ladies night" in the lounge, but it's always a bust. It's just not exciting.

What do you ladies like in a Ladies Night??

What have you tried and what happens that makes it a bust?

Jewelry maker, psychic, tarot cards, chair massage, kareoke......ummmmm...... boring stuff.

We had a fashion show once, which I think has promise. They just failed to execute it well.

If you're going to talk nonsense at least get it right

I'd totally show up somewhere with a mouth full of clams for a free Kraby Patty.

I didn't know Kraby Patties were drinks ;D

Aaaany way.... What about passing out cards with 1/2 pictures on them, and if you find the matching card, both people get a drink? Can be used for different occasions....

how old are these woman? and alcohol makes things much better

one game me and my co-workers like to play is you get a deck of cards and each person takes a turn and does the amount of shots the card says, whoever stands last wins =]

Around here ladies night always seems to be aimed at the guys. It either comes off as " hey guys drag your girl out in the middle of the week so you don't have to pay for her drinks" or " attention creepy guys, drunk women will be here tonight" never heard of a place actually having a female oreinted activity, just free or cheap drinks.

Oh how about a spa thing?

hmmmm. interesting idea. Maybe there are only one set of matching cards to win a door prize.

We have private rooms to use, as well as the ability to have a runway....if this helps with the ideas.

"Ladies Night" is a girls night out.

Drinking games are not really appropriate.

HI Lexi, nice to see you!

"attention creepy guys, drunk women will be here tonight"

That's exactly what comes to mind when I see Ladies Night.

Oh how about a spa thing?

That's a good idea.
Maybe include make up and nails

I'm sorry.....I didn't specify that this is in a casino It's an ultra lounge.

We are going after a late 20 to 50 year old crowd. It's got to be exciting!

Okay, here's my idea - a men's wet tee shirt competition.

Shopping is always good and it helps ward off most men.

Well, when you say 'ladies night' that's usually what one thinks LOL Prizes are a really good idea though!

Also like the spa idea...

Hmm, the casino the hubby works at doesn't do a ladies night, at least I haven't heard of one. Is te like a movie screen ( the louge here has one, they show sporting events on it)? You could do like a sappy black and white movie night.

How about an 80's night? Come in 80's attire, dance floor open with 80's music, etc.

A DJ isn't a bad idea...

Teased up?? Hahah, even if I knew that's what it was called I'd never let anyone know

The glamor shots is an interesting idea - Makes use of the beautiful rooms we have and such pictures are likely to end up on facebook, which is good exposure. Now we're getting somewhere!

Eh, I'm comfortable enough in my masculinity to say that. Just went to an 80's party last weekend, that's where I got the idea from

That's a good idea or even a 70's night. I've been to a 70's night party where all they played was disco music and people dressed up like they did in the 70's. The chic's really seemed to dig it. It was a blast!

I went dressed like john travolta in saturday night fever.

and my wife went dressed as olivia newton john from grease.

We do theme parties every quarter - that's one of our biggest recurring events. In fact, our next one is a 70's theme.

Theres a radio station that's really popular where I grew up, and every friday night, they have a dance part at a different local business (that was big enough to hold a few hundred people). They have a theme for each one, contests and games and stuff. Maybe you guys could do something like that? Doesn't have to be with anyone, either. Could just be something that you guys plan and execute, though local celebrities are usually a hit, no mater where you're from.

Nice. Here's an instructional video then for that 70's party. Study it. Learn it. Live it. Aw yeah.

We've had them in for Nightlife events.

So, any comments on the wet tee shirt competition? We set up a runway, and the guys strut their stuff wearing tight wet white tee shirts and shorts or something. Winner gets a cash prize, to be split between the guy and the girl that brought him.

Ahem.....not all of us followed that trend in the 70's.
Some of us stuck to our rock n roll roots and avoided those clubs like the plague.
