Kuhli Loaches With Gobies?

still kicking around some stocking ideas. Would kuhlI loaches be too competitive with gobies (Stiphodon) to be kept together? I understand the kuhlis would be more active at night while the gobies would scavange throughout the day and even feed on algae and biofilm. Thoughts? Experiences? Thank you.

 

It will depend on the size of the tank. Any other fish?

 

20 gal long with peacock gudgeons. AC50 filter so water turnover is high.

Peacock Gudgeons like to hang around on the bottom to so I would do Gobies or Loaches not both. I can give you a complete stock list if you can tell me the number of Gudgeons.

My understanding is that they have different requirements. Stiphodons want a bright tank with clear water with a current that promotes algae growth.

I overlooked their habitat requirements so thank you for pointing that out Piaelliott.
Will stick with the loaches as I had them in mind from the start and made sure the substrate matched their needs.
