Kuhli loach kinda dull looking

I have 2 kuhlI loaches and one of them has normal colorings but the other one I have was always dull/kinda see through looking ever since I got it from the store

Is that normal? Or is something wrong?

 

I have three and they sometimes have the same thing. It usually means they need food I've found as they regain their colour once fed.

 

I've kept khulI loaches for past 2 years. They seem to prefer to be in a shoal of 6 or more.

They also like to have cover and hiding places which makes them feel more secure.

Mine are out all the time and active. They have plants, clay pots and rocks though when they feel the need to lay low and take cover, but they rarely do.

When was your last water change and how are the water parameters?

I wanna get at least 4 more when I can
I just put them into a new bigger tank that I got so I think me netting them and putting them into their new home stressed them out a little bit, I look at them now and they both have regained pretty much all of their color again. So maybe they were just stressed out?

 

That would be a probable reason for that. They are a PITA to net in the first place, and probably weren't too happy getting scooped up and bagged in the first place.

I'm sure after a day or two more they will be back to normal.

They have small bio-loads, so it's easy to add more. Very minimal impact on the tank's cycle or filtration needs.
