I wouldn't do more than 5 at absolute tops. Some are going to say you can't have them at all but according to the fish vet here he said I could 6 in a 20 gallon high. He said to allow 3 gallons per kuhlI and 5 is the minimum he would recommend.

NickAu recommended them to me if I remember correctly. I think he said you could have 10 in a 15 gallon

5 or 6 would be fine I reckon, it's easier to add more if they do well

I think I’ll start with however many my lfs has in stock. Usually around 4-6. What would be the maximum number I could have?

The maximum number or the best number?
You could probably keep 15+ alive in there, but I think less than half that would be best.

I was asking the maximum number so I would probably put around half of that. I’ll probably just keep 6. I have 2 lfs. One had regular kuhlI loaches and the other one has 1 black kuhlI loach that no one ever buys so maybe I’ll buy 5 from the first lfs then buy the black one

With KuhlI Loaches its a case of the more the merrier just make sure they have lots of places to hide.

You can add 6 now and then 6 or so latter.

I personally wouldn't. They grow big and rather active, and like most larger species of cories, do better in 20 gallon long tanks. A 15 gallon doesn't have much floorspace for kuhlies IMO.

I personally would reccomend a small group of habrosus cories, which are a little more size appropriate to a 15 gallon tank.

I can’t find any corydoras habrosus. I have a 20 long so maybe I can move them to there when they are too large. Could they be with a fancy goldfish in a 29 gallon tank at 21-22 (70-72) degrees?

I wouldn't keep kuhlis with goldfish or at 70-72F. I could never imagine having my kuhlis in a tank less than 30" long after having them for a while.

Seriously fish says 68 is their minimum so I wanted to have it above that. How big are your kuhlI loaches?

I would keep kuhlis anywhere between 75-80F. Kuhlis get up to 4" long and Pangio Oblonga are even more active than the striped variety.
