Kudos to Aqua Huna

Please move thread to vendor review if needed, I have no idea where that is sorry!

Just wanted to give a shout out to Gerry and Aqua Huna. The bigger sites use overnight shipping but Huna uses Priority - $12.00 shipping. I was very hesitant because of this. While I am never opposed to overnighting livestock, this was extremely impressive on their part.

I ordered 10 cardinal tetras last Monday. They arrived 3 days later boiled and disintegrated. They used a heavy duty heat pack, probably because I put in a note it’s very cold here. 20-30 during the day and 10 at night. I promptly emailed them.

Within an hour, they apologized and said they would tweak their packaging and ship another 10 this latest Monday. I was skeptical, and contemplated just getting a refund minus shipping per their site, but let them do their thing.

They shipped Monday two days ago. All arrived in excellent condition today. Superb packaging again (minus the heavy duty heat pack). I think part of their secret is logistics. They physically ship livestock late at night around 10pm right before they know USPS is going to ship/fly out packages (happened on both occasions), eliminating probably a day of wait time for their fish.

In any case, I feel this was excellent, rare customer service in this hobby and also feel these type of reviews are important for companies such as this. I live in the snowy Rockies and needless to say it is probably one of the more difficult tasks to ship to my area especially considering the sensitive nature of the Cardinal tetras.

Their stock is limited and they only ship certain numbers but I would not hesitate to order again. Well done Aqua Huna!

Like shopping at my LFS, but for the price of they want for pea puffers I am shopping elsewhere, and Aqua Huna is who I was planning on buying from. Good to hear they took care of the problem.

I've also ordered from them several times, and wouldn't hesitate to do so again.

As have I. Fishlore members confirming what I've heard is definitely a point in their favor!

This is good news for me as I just ordered some more Amano Shrimp. The other place I order from was out of stock, and so I chose Aqua Huna this time. I've been a bit anxious since they shipped, as this is the first time I've ordered from them. Hearing good things about them helps ease some of that anxiety. Thanks.

i have ordered from them twice with excellent results unlike another company I have tried and another one that was ok. I still have all the original pygmy cories I ordered months ago.

I am currently waiting on a third order: more pygmy cories, some kuhlis, and a betta my daughter picked from their website for her personal tank. The fun part for my teen was watching her fish in their webcam, seeing it fed and tank cleaned, until weather allowed for shipping.

Update they all arrived healthy and active with one exception that isn’t their fault and they still reimbursed me.
The betta really had no color change from stress and is soooo healthy. Unlike my petco betta that was unrecognizable in color within an hour and i had to treat it.
It has been a couple weeks now. My only issue is my pygmies came in a separate order and got delayed in mail so three died from cold, the other three are thriving. Aqua huna promptly refunded me no questions asked except for the required photo. They guarantee live fish at arrival and for the first three days after. This is the only inline store that has honored this and my Local fish stores have no guarantees.
