Please move thread to vendor review if needed, I have no idea where that is sorry!
Just wanted to give a shout out to Gerry and Aqua Huna. The bigger sites use overnight shipping but Huna uses Priority - $12.00 shipping. I was very hesitant because of this. While I am never opposed to overnighting livestock, this was extremely impressive on their part.
I ordered 10 cardinal tetras last Monday. They arrived 3 days later boiled and disintegrated. They used a heavy duty heat pack, probably because I put in a note it’s very cold here. 20-30 during the day and 10 at night. I promptly emailed them.
Within an hour, they apologized and said they would tweak their packaging and ship another 10 this latest Monday. I was skeptical, and contemplated just getting a refund minus shipping per their site, but let them do their thing.
They shipped Monday two days ago. All arrived in excellent condition today. Superb packaging again (minus the heavy duty heat pack). I think part of their secret is logistics. They physically ship livestock late at night around 10pm right before they know USPS is going to ship/fly out packages (happened on both occasions), eliminating probably a day of wait time for their fish.
In any case, I feel this was excellent, rare customer service in this hobby and also feel these type of reviews are important for companies such as this. I live in the snowy Rockies and needless to say it is probably one of the more difficult tasks to ship to my area especially considering the sensitive nature of the Cardinal tetras.
Their stock is limited and they only ship certain numbers but I would not hesitate to order again. Well done Aqua Huna!
