Hey y’all so can I use kombucha as an acid buffer? Or can I use like black tea bags instead of peat moss? I don’t actually know my kh but my ph is like 7.5 and my gh is 10 so I reckon my kh is high as well, and I wanna grow some plants bros. And maybe some cherry shrimps.

kombucha as an acid buffer is a good question, however i definitely wouldn't use black tea as i would imagine all that caffeine would have negative effects upon your livestock
maybe try adding some RO water to lessen the degree of hardness and to bring the ph further down... once you have less hardness, stuff like peat moss, leaf litter, and other botanicals will have a greater effect on your pH as the water itself will have less buffering capabilities.
however plants will still thrive in conditions with harder water/ higher pH... as long as their needs are met- being good substrate, good lighting. additionally Co2 injection and liquid fertilizers always help if used correctly
