Question Koi Carp in warm water tanks?

Yes it's me again LOL.

OK, Koi were first bred in China and Japan were it is warm/hot.
Koi have to be taken indoors during the winter because they can not survive the cooler temps that most fish such as tench, rudd, roach etc... can survive without problems.

If you go to any south east Asian country that keeps Koi in a pond you will see them along side gouramis and other 'tropical' fish in ponds.

If this is the case and you had a large enough tank does that mean you can keep them with other large warm water species?

(I'm just wondering i'm not planning on doing it!)
