First two week i hatched baby brine shrimp (a pain in my butt) and Hikari First Bite then I started doing frozen baby brine shrimp and the First Bite. After about 1.5 month I switched to regular brine shrimp, mysis shrimps, blood worms, dafnia and bug bites dry food.

A lot i know lol but its great to offer your fry as many different type of food as you can
thanks! trying to gather as much info as i can about feeding fry. i want to breed gouramis and the process is similar.
a variety of foods is great for any fish, really! it's assurance that fry have all the nutrients they need, promoting their growth. i'll have get myself to go out and get a whole bunch of fry foods soon. i'd say my adult fish need some more variety too.

Definitely recommend hatching brine shrimps! Make sure that you do a thread once you breed them, would love to follow

Wow they're turning out beautiful! The gender for the one you're asking is a male.

I just read this entire thread. Such beautiful parents!! I'm so sorry about Rose, she was really a beauty!

And those babies :emoji_heart_eyes:!

I'm not at 50 posts yet (but I'm working towards it!).... If I get there by the time babies are ready and my betta tank is settled I would be very interested in a little lady.

Update: Finally added substrate to the tank. I went with white sand so the color of the fry would pop more! Im thinking of changing the background to black or white also. Not sure yet.

Added some driftwood, rocks, amazon sword, water lettuce, salvinia and a rock. In this tank i currently have the females and a couple of unsex ones. 5 of the boys were separated already because they were attacking each other.

Also i finally got to count them and i have 34 of them!!

I've actually llt never seen a full cellophane male without any other colouring and it looks like you might have one (he might just change colour soon or they might be females)

Yeah! a lot of the cellophane ones are starting to show some spots and are turning into "koi" but some of them have not color up at all yet

Here are some photos of the largest boys. I love their colors and i have some other boys that are coloring very similar to these two and are getting their “koi patterns” coming out.

(they were only in the divided container for a few minutes so i can observe them flaring and make sure they are healthy and proper weight)
