Killi Fry Not Eating Microworms.

So my killifry hatched yesterday and I loved them to a bigger tub with some java moss in it . The water is from an already established aquarium I have.

My question is they don't seem interested in them at all.

I have removed them after 6 hours.

I am hoping with the java moss and the aquarium water there will be infusoria.

What shall I do if they continue to not feed on microworms ?

What species of Killifish? A few have fry that are too small to take such foods. It can be hard to see if they've been eating microworms, the belly doesn't turn pink like it does with brine shrimp nauplii.

I would expect that they should find some forage with the java moss in there. Good luck.

HI Chrome, they are N.guentherI Red. They are tiny and I think the microworms are slightly too big, would brine shrimp be a better option for them?

I was hoping the java mos would keep them nourished enough till they get bigger and can manage the microworms.

Thank you.

My N. guentheri never had trouble eating microworms, that seems odd. I just left them in the container, they live for days, and the fry ate when they felt like it. I also used microworms to force hatch the eggs of Nothos and other Killies. I've never known any Notho fry to be hesitant eaters. I did give them bbs pretty soon after removing them from the hatching container, as well. It's possible that the swimming action of the shrimp will trigger their feeding instincts better.

Maybe I am worrying too much . They are still alive after day 2 so they just be eating something . I've out more microworms in as in the quantity . I'll see how they go . Also got bbs hatching as well speak.
