I heard that we can knw if a female kenyi is ready to mate by looking at her vent. is this true.?
All fish are mostly induced into mating by the "courtship ritual "of the male fish, and a mature female Kenyi, if not already holding eggs and young could be induced by the male as she is ready to mate. As for looking at the females vent, I really think this is not applicable as the Kenyi is a mouth brooder. I hope this goes some way to answering your question
