Keeping Cherry Shrimps In A Fish Bowl

I have some cherry shrimps in fish bowl with an anubias in it, I wrapped the fish bowl with a mesh bag and put it in my tank. One of the shrimps is berried, so I want it to safely give the babies in the bowl and keep them in before I release the adults to the tank. How long can the adult shrimps last in the bowl in this case? Is there anything I should be concerned about?

Yes you should worry about filtration and water parameters. Depending on your tank stock list if you add enough plants, moss etc. babies can hide in it and it would be healthier for them.

About water filtration, I already said I'd put the bowl IN my fish tank which already has a cycled filtration. I have a 15 gallon with one platy and 2 guppies.

I don't think platy and molly wil eat all of your shrimps but if bowl is in aquarium they should be good.

 

Provided there is a food source and some water exchange with the rest of the cycled the tank the shrimp would be able to survive indefinitely. You should be good to go!
