WRWAquarium
Thought I would share my DIY lid modification for a juwel tank.
I was fed up of the juwel light unit and replaced with a fluval aquasky. For now I've made a very simple mod to act as a jump guard and thought I'd share it in case anyone else finds it useful.
I drilled some holes in the 2 flaps and then simply screwed it onto 2 lengths of very thin timber it's 1 inch wide by. 25 I think.. that sits on the tank rim.
There is room for a wider light unit but not lots. Also having to lift out the whole panel to access the tank isn't ideal but for now it's a temporary fix that will prevent most but the most determined or unlucky fish jumping.
I like the 33w aquasky light. Ramping down in pics. The 24 7 is really nice and all controlled from phone app! Might go for 2 as the tank is big n deep and just trying out few more live plants.
