Heres a few pics of my new Malawi guys, they're all still Juvies so don't have full colours yet, but have settled in well to their new home and are all looking very healthy and eating well!

Stocking list is 5 Yellow Labs, 4 Ice Blue Zebras, 4 Red Empress, and 11 Demasoni. there's also a Placidochromis Electra who was a rescue, and a pair of BN Plecs.

updated pics

A few newer pics. The Ice Blues are slowly developing their colour, and the biggest Male his now the dominant fish in the tank, and spends most of his time harrassing the others, although he leaves the Demasonis alone. No colour development with the Red Empress or Placidochromis Electra yet.......and the Yellow Labs are still Yellow!

The plants are all Java Fern, I tried a few other species but they didn't last long! I don't think they like the taste of the Java Fern, as they never touch it.

Yeah it is. They go absoloutly CRAZY anytime I go near the tank, thinking they're going to be fed. My SA Cichlids like being fed too, but they're nothing like these guys!

its the only tank I do NOT stick my hands in...when I stick romaine lettuce to the side, I have to do it with a net as they WILL jump right out! hope the kids enjoy it....I know mine do!

Do you have a dominant fish in your tank? My largest Yellow Lab was the dominant one but he's now been put in his place by the male Ice Blue!

Few more recent pics. All of the species in the tank now have a dominant member of the group, with the big male Ice Blue being dominant throughout the tank. The stocking list will start to be reduced this week, with 3 of the 4 Ice Blues going to the LFS display tank. I'm just keeping the big guy, as the other 3 are males too.
