Juvenile Jack Dempsey

Morley125

Hi, today I got a electric blue Jack Dempsey for my 300l tank.
He had been nipped by the tetras he was in with at the lfs and so they gave me him free.
He’s only around an inch in size and now I’ve got him home I’m worried about him being eaten by my Syno cat who’s about 7” (yes I know I probably shouldn’t have got him but he wouldn’t have lasted at the shop) so I have him in a fry nursery that fits to the side of the tank.
My question is, will he be ok in here until he’s around 2” long and big enough to not get eaten?
Thank you

He will be better off there than at the LFS. Maybe if you can get a small tank for him? Good luck.

He should be absolutely fine in there until he grows a little
