Just Ordered A Bottle Of Seachem Safe And I Have Some Questions

Ok so I was looking on Amazon for a cheaper deal on Prime and I stubble upon Seachem Safe.
Now I never heard of it so I give it a read and from what the label says it's basically prime in powder form.

Sorry for going on, ok to the question.
I just wanna know if my assumption is right in thinking this powder form will last longer than the liquid prime but I also want to make sure that it's still safe and that it works the same or maybe better?
Anybody have experience using this product?

Yes, seachem safe is the powdered form of Prime. It’s also much more concentrated, so you’ll need less for water. Making it last longer than a bottle of Prime.

That's awesome to hear lol. As I was beginning to think maybe I made a mistake in buying that haha.
Thank you though as prime is only available at our local LFS and it's about 11 bucks for a small bottle which only lasts about 2 weeks. So this powder should last a lot longer.

I love Safe cause it saves so much $ compared to the bottles of Prime. What I do is use a smaller bottle similar to this kind (see link below), put 40ml of water in it and add 1/4tsp of Safe. My rough math says 4ml of this mix will treat 30 gallons. With that bottle I can use it as a dropper if I want, or I can unscrew the top and use a medicine syringe to measure it out. And it lasts a few weeks before I have to mix again.

So what if I fill an 8oz bottle all the way up with water and put the 1/4 tsp of the safe in? Would I still be able to measure it out correctly for a 55 gallon?

I don't think seachem safe has the same shelf life as Prime, when pre mixed. So you’d need a new bottle ecery few days or so.
