Just got two clown loaches.

So I just picked up two clown loaches and acclimated them and now they're in my 29 gallon tank with 5 gourami's, 1 pleco, and 1 red tail shark. Some say they like 85 Fahrenheit water and I run my tank at 82, is this warm enough? Also some say they are very sensitive to ich, how sensitive exactly because I just got rid of ich in my 29 gallon a couple weeks ago. If anyone else has any other tips for caring for these guys please tell me everything. I would like these guys to live a long time in that 29 gallon until they get too big.

For starters they should be in a larger tank.
I keep my temp for the clown loaches at 80.
They do like to hide quite a bit so make sure you give them plenty of spots to sneak away to.
Mine love to eat blanched zucchinI and cucumbers along with algae wafers

Well, they're tiny and ill get a bigger tank down the road when they get bigger. They grow slow so i'm sure they'll be fine for now. I hear they hide a lot in small numbers. What can I do to make them more active besides spending a lot of money on like 7 more of these guys to make a school.

What I started doing was turning down my lights to a (night light affect) this way they come out of hiding. I have 2 in a 125 gallon tank ( I do have other fish in there ) with 5 large pieces of mopanI wood and it is a heavily planted tank.

I would get some driftwood to put inside the tank for them,

So you have a 125 gallon tank with just two clown loaches? Why not add like 5 more? The good thing is where they've been hiding in my tank I can still see them through the glass so I don't mind too much if they hide.

I have driftwood in the tank, they're hiding right by it.

Because in a 125 7 clown loaches is overstocked. for 7 I would go 150g.

IMO you should by a nice 150 gallon and let them grow out there. They can get to a foot.

Heres some photos.

Heres some photos.
You can't see all the other fish in these photos cause the red tail is under a rock and the pleco does its own thing sucking algae in various corners but the gouramis are all visible

80F is where I've kept mine for the last 25 years.

You can keep them in a 29 gallon but I believe they will not get too big because they will be stunted.

However, I also believe they will be capable of growing more when given bigger quarters.

This is because I have been talking to Clown Loach keepers as much as possible over my time with them.

Because they are very social fish they should really be kept in a minimum shoal of 6, preferably more, in a tank of minimum dimensions of 6' x 2' x 2' and 150 gallons.
