not sure but cloth tape can catch debris and cause nitrate spike - u might consider TFE Pipe joint tape. It is made of very thin TEFLON.

Yeah as soon as I get a chance ill change it the tube is to big for the pump so it has to be taped as soon as I get the cash I hav to buy a return pump and everything else to plumb in my sump

Hopefully ill have some pics Saturday night for ya. Pumps will be here tomorrow, if I can sell the rest of the puppies ill go get some live rock/ salt water

So after thinking about it for months I think I'm going to give a sw tank another go this time go bigger. I have a spare 40 gallon breeder laying around I really miss my sw tank. I still have the rock from when I had my 20 gallon tank I can reuse that rock rite? Thinking of mixing that rock with about 20lbs of live rock
