Just built a tank and might have screwed up

So I recently built an aquarium as a project (a 5.7 gallon cube), and it's gone great until now. This morning I noticed that the GE Silicone 1 Clear Window, Door, Attic I used, says "Not for use in aquariums" on the back of the tube. This specific one was recommended online quite a bit and even the web page for it has a review stating it was used in an aquarium. So should I be worried? Has anyone else used this silicone before? I'll leave a pic of it below.

I recently resealed a 90 gallon tank, and while I ended up using Aqueon silicone due to my intense paranoia of messing up, I had considered using that one as well. Based on the crazy amount of reading I did on what silicone you can and cannot use, it seem like GE 1 is a popular brand for both building and resealing. From what I've heard it's a "cover all your bases" sort of warning by the company. As long as it is 100% silicone and has no mold inhibitors or anything of the sort it is generally ok. GE 1 meets those requirements!

I'm guessing it's just a warning in case or to make you buy the aquarium silicone and make you spend more. I well say tho mine looked a little different didn't have the caution on it. Looks like this
that doesn't mean they are different packaging does change.

Like dog flea meds a lot of people started using advantage 2 for dogs on there cats then they changed the package putting a no cat sign on it. I still use it and have heard a few vets say its still ok.

From yasha's example it looks like the companies just want to make more money by creating and selling more products. I needed to do a salt treatment and was prepared to buy aquarium salt for $9.00 a carton until I looked into the difference between this and table salt.. Finding out I already have iodine free table salt, the only other thing was antI caking agent which aquarium salt can apparently also have added to it. So instead of paying 3 times the price for 300 grams less for plain old salt I just used my table salt and it worked fine. Hope the companies don't cross collude to try and rip us off more.

Yeah that GE silicone 1 has what I call CYA labeling. (CYA= Cover Your A$$)
It's somewhat about liability but more about money. They can put the same exact product in a tiny little tube and call it aquarium sealant and charge three times the amount for it.

I just built a 265g from the ground up and the GE silicone 1 is exactly what I used. It cut the price by more than $100 on top of the fact that no one within an hour's drive of me had aquarium sealant!

UaruJoey on YouTube uses GE silicone 1 almost exclusively on his builds and he's never had a problem either. Dustin of dustins fish tanks as well as Cory of aquariumcoop uses it as well. Each of them has been using it for years. I don't think you e got anything to worry about.
