Alright, the choice for this poll's theme is livebearers, so you will get to vote on the best livebearer that you want to see. You have 2 votes, and it will close June 10, 2008. Have fun with the voting.

Whoa! I've never heard of some of those!

Endler's are a really rare and colorful close relative to guppies. They are almost extinct in the wild and have been started to be bred with guppies just to try and keep the strain alive.

Oh that makes more sense. I thought it was jsut for the sake of polls every month. Thanks for clearing it up Tom.

You should add Montezuma Swordtails. They are really neat fish,

Yes even though the female Endler is a rather drab solid color the male is dressed in his sunday best. The Males are really small and feisty. they are way too cool
Carol
ps Tom where did you find such good pics of those? they are really good.

That's a good idea. I'll add them to the list of future suggestions. Thanks.

Endler's Livebearers males have all kinds of 'paint splash' patterns and are every bit (if not more) as amorous as guppy males. The females are a plainer color, but get to 2 or even sometimes 3 times the size of males. Our endler's tank is never quiet, these little fish are so active!

You have 5 days left to get your votes in. The endler's seem to be winning this poll. But that can all change in the next few days, so get your votes in.

Now just a day left, and there is only 23 votes for the endler's and 10 for the butterfly goodeids. So let's get the last few votes in and then see who wins it over the next day.

Ok, so I completely forgot about the poll and that it ended yesterday, so I'm sorry that I am late to announce the winner, but the winner is (drumroll please)... the endler's livebearers. Thanks for voting everyone.
