40 Gallon Tank Julii or Panda Cory, which one to stock with?

I am starting to add a few extra fish to my 40G breeder and I am stuck on which Cory to add, either 8 Panda or 8 Julii.

Do they differ at all in temperament, habits of behavior?

Any help with the decision would be awesome!

Both are very similar but I prefer Pandas personally.

I have three panda corydoras, and am absolutely in love with them! They’re hardy and pretty and full of personality. I’d go for the panda corydoras.

I have juliis and love them to bits! The pandas are cute as well. I don't think you can go wrong with either, really.

I thought I read somewhere that pandas are a bit less hardy than other Cory species. Can anyone confirm or correct?

I have 5 Panda Corys and they're great
I love the appearance of JuliI Corys as well.. But Pandas look great in schools.
I don't think there is much difference in caring and behaviour.. so just your personal preference

Pandas seem to have been inbred too much here in the US. So you have to be careful who you buy from. Kind of like Dwarf Gouramis.

Update;

I went with the JuliI about 2 weeks ago and I am really happy with them. They are very busy little fish who spend a surprising amount of time not on the bottom of the tank but swimming against the current from the filter.

I have one more school of fish to add and then I am done. Any suggestions?

I have cherry barbs as my schooler fish and I recommend them. They are very peaceful little guys and I just love their colors.

I am on the hunt for cherry barbs for my 280 none of the LFS that go to carry them or can order them. I am gonna see if the new LFS by my new home has them.

I have 3 Cherry Barbs...2 female and 1 male
I have noticed the male chases my JuliI Cats sometimes, and even the larger Emerald Cats as well
Not sure if it is because there is only 3 Cherry Barbs, but he is pretty aggressive when he chases the corys

It's probably because they don't have a full school. The male is feeling insecure.

Really? I had only four at one time (3 males & 1 female) and they were fine with my cories until I filled out my school. When I had only four they were much more shy than they are now. I have 10 right now and they chase each other some but never chase anyone else. I suppose there's always a chance that certain individuals will be more aggressive than others.

I love the juliI cats and I too read somewhere the Pandas need cleaner water? Good luck with your cories!
