I wonder if this is what could be happening in my case as well. I did lose a rasbora and 2 guppies over the last week... I didnt realize there was something going around on the distribution level, that's a scary thought.

Yeah, I know that my store has been having trouble with the goldfish and koi being shipped in. Guess it's with more than just them.

For my QT tank, I have a spare heater but not a spare filter or air pump. Is that okay? :/

The fish is gonna need some water movement, particularly if you're using meds.

Junebug, if it is Iridovirus what meds are used on it. Last time I looked into it there wasn't anything, antiviral for aqua culture use for iridovirus.

There isn't a treatment yet. Those who work in healthcare could potentially try antivirals if they can get them legally, but dosage is unknown.

There isn't any med curing Iridovirus. Treating against bacteria is the only possible way (and hoping junebug being wrong in this case).

I hope I'm wrong too

Well, I can steal my Bettas filter from the 5.5 while the Cory is getting treated. Should I just shove a sponge inside to replace the carbon?
-----
To add:
Also, I just got so busy yesterday I haven't done it yet. Today I need to drain my 2.5 and fill it with water. For the Cory, do I need to put some sand in there or is bare bottom okay? No decorations is fine, too, right? I have spare sand that I keep around and can throw out afterwards. I'm going to use a sponge that I keep in a bucket of fish water and old gravel (to keep the gravel bacteria alive in case I have a fish tank emergency and need to set up a new one instantly) does that sound good? I don't want to give the Cory ammonia poisoning! I'll use prime as a water conditioner, too. I'm going to separate the other cories and take photos of them as well so you guys can tell me if any of them may also be infected. Thank you guys so much, I know it's a lot of work for a $5 fish, but it's worth it to me because I love my cories.

Just make sure you sanitize the filter before putting it back on the betta tank.

Barebottom with no decor is actually preferable for QT. If you feel the cory is overstressed, adding some sort of cave for it to hide in may help.

Hi.
Also try to get something like tetra prima.
I use it to feed my corys. Just put it in a small container with some tank water and at night when the lights go off and ALL the other lights in your house around the tank are off pour it in.
They Swollow it whole so they get enough food in. I have clown loaches so this gives them a chance to get enough food in.
Hard pellets just make it difficult for them as they eat really slowly.

So before I could even get him out and into quarantine the redness went away and he stopped acting weird. Since then he's gained some weight back and now I can barely tell which one he is. I have no idea what happened.

Now I'm just hoping that fish store will take back the antibiotic for actual money and not store credit...
