Hey

Do angelfish or discus eat Java moss? I'm trying to attach one to my driftwood.

EDIT: I once tried it with a small piece but I think the angelfish ate it all.

Good morning,

They may nibble on it but with them both being cichlids I'd be surprised if they ate it all.

I have 4 Angels and the only time they nibble at my Java Moss is when there is food stuck in it.

Yeah they will eat stuff growing in/on it and they will scatter it all over but out right eat it ... no don't think so.

Nice

I hope that one will grow then... I'll be so happy if it does. I want my driftwood to be completely covered with it. ;D

I attached it only to some pieces of thread but my angelfish took most of it out when nipping it. So I took a net and did it like this instead. Will it get enough light to grow?

So long as you have adequate light in that spot for it to grow in the first place the material over it should have little impact. Shouldn't be a problem.
