I have a leaf of java fern that is making babies. A single leaf. Im suprised it survived without it's rhimezone.

If I put it in a gallon container and dose 1 ml of co2, would that speed up the growth of the baby java ferns?

I have seen that before. Java Fern really don't need CO2.

You're not far from me. About 100 miles South. I've been thinking about making a trip down to Queensbury because I see they have a number of pet outlets. Have you been to the Benson's there?

The only place I have here is PetSmart and a PetCo on the other side of the lake in Vermont.

I would leave the Java fern as is and eventually the baby will release from the leaf.

I started a few java fern babies over a year ago and these guys grow very slowly. Mine have a bunch of leaves but it's only an inch tall. That's in a high tech set up BTW.
