Just curious to see if anyone else keeps/breeds Japanese Medaka ricefish and what kind of success have you got breeding these tiny pond fish?

I love them! Sadly, I don’t have any at the moment. I’ve been stalking some of the ones on AquaticArts for a while now. I just have to decide which type to get. Yours are gorgeous!

I don't have them, but my understanding is that their breeding methods are similar to surface spawning killies or rainbowfish. The male fertilizes the eggs and the female eventually sticks them to surface plants/mops.

I’m currently using those methods... just curious if anyone else uses alternative methods

When I clear a breeding project out of a tank I hope I can get some. One store had them for $14 each about a month ago and maybe someone else is breeding some now.
