Jack Dempsey Spawning????

So I recently adopted a pink jack Dempsey maby 2 weeks ago and it roughly 5inches ish In a 120 with my Oscar and I tried sexing it but hard to tell cause if odd colors of the pink jacks. But the last couple days I've notice it digging with its belly in the substrate I have. And also my jack' s stomach is a lot bigger then usually. Could it be trying to lay eggs. ? My first jack. I've had other cichlids but this was a unplanned adoption. But never noticed any digging like this. I've seen them for with their mouth but never with their belly like this. Any help would be great. My Oscar is about the same size but unknown sex also. Is there any cases where oscars and jack Dempsey' s cross breeding?

An oscar and jack would not cross breed. Id say its more likely sick or an infection of some sort.

 

Okay. I wasn't sure if maby she had eggs inside when I adopted her.

 

I'd guess she's probably itching herself for some reason - parasites, infection, ammonia burn, etc.
