Jack Dempsey or Acara

When I got theses fish they were advertised and blue Acara. But today I noticed them lip locking and behaving in a more aggressive fashion you know lip locking each other and what not. The smaller has a little bite mark on his face.

So if you could, can you please help me identify these fish? Thanks.

I can't tell anything from those pictures. We need clear side views to tell.

Ok thanks my bad about the picture I was really jus trying to check on the Dempsey. I have a green Texas and a red devil in there. Do you think the Jack Dempsey will survive? I moved my eb Acara to my angelfish tank.

The jack will be fine as long as the texas and devil are the same size.

But red devils can be extremely mean. I have a very aggressive tank and I tried to introduce a red devil into mine and had to take him out after 5 minutes.

What size tank are they in? I would be surprised if the red Devil will let either of the Texas or the Dempsey be in the tank once it gets bigger. Unless you have them in 150+ gallon tank. Anything less than that and I think the Red Devil will constantly try to take over the tank or die trying.

Yea if I would have known they were Jack Dempsey I would have just gotten 1. But they are more interested in fighting each other. Plus there is a big green Texas in there that keeps the red devil pretty busy.
