It's time to make Fish-keeping Great again!!

Now that you're here, I've got to figure out how to manage my 40B tank.

I've got 8 corys, 1 bristlenose, and 1 Blood parrot currently in my tank.
All is well in the world and they seem happy as can be, But wanted to add another school or fish possibly.

I've been told fish like Tetras will be eaten by the BP and Mollys/Barbs are a definite No-Go due to nipping are territorial issues. I was looking at Giant Danio's or Zebra Danios due to their ability to channel aggressive fish away from confrontation by their fast movement tendencies, but have an issue with the Bio-load as well as their ability to jump (I haven't found a way to cover my tank completely yet...) Are these good fish to consider?

Also like the way GBR's and other rams look and compatible with the BP but read they tend to prefer lower ph levels in the 6's and low 7's (Mine's 8.0 from the tap)..

Wanted angelfish over a BP but won't be able to keep adult angels due to the 40B not being very tall.. I need suggestions!!

Thanks everyone, let me know if Pic's of the tank/setup will help and I can do what I can.

PS: I started looking at danio's for the first time today so don't know much about them.... I also saw somewhere mentioned Swordtails and Gourami's being possible candidates....

I currently have Pearl Danios (NOT CPDs) but looked into Giant and Zebra also. The giant got to big for me and at the store I made a decision for pearl. I won't be able to say much for bioload however they are a very hardy fish. That's half the reason I go them. I have not had a jumper yet, and I don't think I had my tank covered for a couple days. Now I have a DIY aluminium mesh/screen that fits more or less and haven't had a problem. Good luck

Giant danios my be ok. Zebras are a bit small and could be swallowed up.

I have 3 parrots and pretty familiar with them. Not sure how big yours is but eventually it's going to start getting super territorial and attack or kill most of the fish you have.

If you move or rehome the parrot your options open up.

Also I have tons of rams in a 125g. With a phone of 8.2 and they do just fine. Lots of people have rams and even disus in higher PH as long as it remains stable.

how many rams could I potentially have in my 40B with my BP? He's only about 2.5" atm... The guy at the aquarium store said the BP will probably get rehomed eventually too. (He seemed to have a serious vendetta against BP's as well so I took everything he said in consideration to his apparent bias towards the species)

I would say 4 to 6 because they also get territorial might be better off with 1 pair.

I have 6 german blue ram 2 gold and 1 electric blue ram In a 125

That was without the BP, with the BP territory will become an issue very quickly.

Then you will find your self scrambling to get rid of the BP.

I would say rehome BP and then get rams.

I'm going to probably rehome my 3 blood parrots and 1 flowerhorn. So I can do something else.

2 of my parrots paired up and man they are brutal they attack anything
