So after having to tear down a tank and building it back up after having a damsel fly larvae in there eating my shrimp... I was watching my cichlid tank thankful dramas are over. It’s all good and everyone healthy. Oscar was chasing the silver dollars and he swam straight into the bottom of a branch (its not small - it’s like the thickness of a DVD). He bounced off but kept going. Now he has a big white scratch on his head... no blood or flesh - doesn’t look bad - but he’s hiding in the corner of the tank. To me I’d say he’s feeling sorry for himself but I’m worried about him. He is definitely a gregarious character and not in any way shy.
I fed them some frozen worms as a Sunday treat. He came out and ate as many as he could as has gone back to the corner. Usually he patrols the tank back and forth.
Anyone have experience with this type of thing? What should I do?
