By the way, how do you tell?

Well. Usually, they'll become 'fat' for lack of a better word and that black gravid spot tat the back will become bigger and sometimes blacker. Once they give birth, they'll return to a normal size. Then, a few weeks later she'll be pregnant again. The novelty quickly wares off... I started with 3 ended up with 15 and that's without trying to save any of the fry.

By the way, are you going to try and raise the babies? Because guppies are abysmal parents and will try eating all of their offspring.

I've been raising guppies from birth for a while now. Never had a mama eating baby issue.

It's just that these are blue Moscow guppys and are rather expensive and I wanted a second opinion.

I had to google them. They certainly look beautiful. My guppies always eat their young despite the fact I feed them every day and there's plenty of hiding places in my tank... So lucky you!
